CUSD High School Graduations - Class of 2022

About The Event

High School Graduation will take place on Thursday June 9, at Long Beach Terrace Theatre located in 300 E Ocean Blvd #300, Long Beach, CA 90802. The event will be an in-person graduation ceremony. Please note that the district will be following all county guidelines for this indoor event. Times for each respective high school are provided below.

Do's

  • Guests are encouraged to arrive early, in order to go through the appropriate security protocols that include a magnetometer/metal detector check
  • Small clutch size purses only
  • Follow the signs for guest entrance and student drop off area
  • Be prepared to show proof of entry (see ticketing information below)

Don'ts

  • No outside food or drinks will be allowed. Also, no food or drinks will be sold during the event
  • No air horns, confetti, balloons or signs that obstruct the view of other guests are allowed at the Long Beach Terrace Theatre
  • No backpacks, large bags or oversize bags. See above for appropriate “Clutch Size” purses only

  • 9:00am - 10:00am: Early College HS
    Students Arrive 7:30am

  • 11:30am - 12:30pm: Centennial HS
    Students Arrive 10:00am

  • 2:00pm - 3:00pm: Compton HS
    Students Arrive 12:30pm

  • 4:30pm - 5:30pm: Dominguez HS
    Students Arrive 3:30pm

In accordance to county and state regulations, and as it currently stands it is recommended that all participants wear a mask at the event. Also, note that these requirements may change and it is advisable that students and guests be ready to present full proof of vaccination or provide proof of negative test in the event that Covid protocols get updated.

Graduates

Students must wear their Cap & Gown that will be issued by their school site. All students need to arrive early, as indicated under arrival times for students to go through the appropriate security protocols that include a magnetometer/metal detector check that all guests have to go through.

Ticket Information


Each guest must present a valid guest ticket in order to enter the ceremony. Tickets will be provided to students by school administration. There will not be assigned seating, instead seating will be open to guests with tickets only on a first come first serve basis.


Directions/Parking


The Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center has more than 4,000 parking spaces around the Center in three parking garages and one ground level parking lot. Rates may vary by event and are in effect seven days a week. The Terrace Theater Parking Garage is generally open for theater events and has 800 parking spaces. The Arena Parking Garage is open for conventions, tradeshows and Arena events and has 1,460 spaces. The Promenade Parking Garage is open for conventions, tradeshows and special events and has 350 spaces. The Main Parking Lot along Shoreline Drive has 1,500 spaces.

Parking is $15 per car per entry to any of the Center's lots.
