Compton Unified School District First Day of School 2020-21

Message from the Office of Superintendent via ParentSquare

Dear families of Compton Unified School District,

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year!

As you are aware, this is the first day of school with distance Learning for all of our Compton scholars.

If you are still not sure where to start, click this link https://sites.google.com/comptonusd.net/distancelearning/home, go to your child’s grade level, click on your child’s school name, and find the appropriate teacher’s name and class log in code.

If you are not sure of your child’s teachers or class schedule, please call your school site.

If your child’s teacher is out and a substitute teacher is not available, principals will make sure that activities are sent via Google Classroom so that your student can start engaging in asynchronous (independent) learning on his/her first day. School teams will also reach out to you with a time to connect with your student through Zoom throughout the day so that they can welcome your child to a great school year!

Finally, following is a welcome message from our Superintendent, Dr. Darin Brawley in English and Spanish (delivered by Deputy Superintendent, Dr. Alejandro Alvarez).

Thank you and have a great new school year!
