The Company Celebrated With A Kick-Off Party At Mckinley Elementary. Yoobi, an innovative school, home, and office supplies company teamed up with Youtuber Wengie to donate free Yoobi school supplies to Compton Unified School District. Yoobi believes all kids should have equal opportunities.

The donation event took place at McKinley Elementary School, where Wengie, joined by other fellow Youtubers, Cassie Diamond, Alexa Mae, and Gem Sisters, pop-singer songwriter Skyler Stecker, America’s Got Talent star Brynn Rummfallo and Yoobi Co-Founder and CEO Ido Leffler and Yoobi Chief Giving Officer Justin Wolff, reminded students that with the right tools, kids have the power to change the world. “The district and the school do their best to insure that the students can have the best supplies,” said Principal Jennifer Kang-Moon.

At the event The CEO of Yoobi, Ido Leffler said “We were be able to give 25,000 school products to support kids in school across the U.S. which is why we choose McKinley Elementary school to kick-off the new school year.”

“McKinley’s teachers and staff work diligently to provide a stellar education and necessary supplies and tools for our students. We value wonderful community partners like Yoobi that allows us to continue to close the opportunity gap” said Principal Kang-Moon.

Leffler walked into the classes to give the students their school supplies while playing fun games with them and Wengie passed out pencil cases to the students while chatting with them about school and friends. Ms. Villegas, Kinder teacher at Mckinley said, “They all came in, they sat with the kids, read to them, they provided all the materials and they actually were working with them and it was very nice of them to do.”

One special student, Genesis Robles, was also recognized with the “Yoobi Changemaker Award” for outstanding achievement as a young leader who is already positively impacting the community. Genesis is a straight-A-student who is passionate about Robotics and is a positive role model for her peers.

Wengie had this to say to the students of Compton Unified School District, “Be imaginative, just believe in yourself, dream up to who want to be, and go for it. Don’t listen to anyone else because you can do it.”

Yoobi donates school supplies across the country through their “You Buy, Yoobi Gives” program. For every Yoobi item purchased, Yoobi donates an essential school supply item to kids who otherwise may not be able to afford their own supplies. (Second grade teacher, Mrs. Wyckhuyse said, “We really appreciate the opportunity of Yoobi donating to Compton and we hope that other schools in Compton can have the same experience. We are all just grateful that they were here.”) This is the third year Yoobi has worked with Compton Unified School District to provide free school supplies to students.
