Dear Compton Unified Families,

We were recently made aware of a release of liability/waiver form that has been circulating on social media, along with false claims that the District is requiring parents to sign the form and agree to certain COVID-related release of responsibility conditions in order to have their child return to campus. This is not a District-approved form, there has been no such form distributed to parents, and no such form is being required of parents.

Further, not all students are returning to campus at this time. The District is planning to host voluntary participation learning pods for children who are special education students, English language learners, preschoolers, and other at-risk populations. If this form is shared with you and you are told that you must sign it, please do not sign it, and please alert the District.

As a reminder, all District-required forms are available on our website and are communicated via ParentSquare or other official district channels.
