On Campus Learning Cohort Updates For Special Education, English Language Learner And Preschool Students

Special Education – Onsite Learning Cohort Update

Earlier this month, the Compton Unified School District announced that it would move towards bringing small groups of students back to campus starting with those who have Special Education needs.

The District has decided to move the start date for Special Education students to the week of October 19, 2020. This additional time will allow the District to complete additional training, as well as secure transportation services, to ensure this transition happens safely and successfully.

In the coming weeks, parents, guardians and staff will receive additional information about this plan and the resources to help Special Education students as we begin to welcome them back to campus.

English Language Learner Students – Onsite Learning Cohort Update

The District has decided to move the start date for ELL students to the week of October 26, 2020. This additional time will allow the District to complete additional training, as well as ensure this transition happens safely and successfully.

In the coming weeks, parents, guardians and staff will receive additional information about this plan and the resources to help ELL students as we begin to welcome students back to campus.

Preschool Students – Onsite Learning Cohort Update
