Dear Compton Unified School District Community,
We are heartbroken. The recent mass shootings and yesterday’s tragedy at Robb Elementary in Uvalde, TX are devastating. We are deeply grieving alongside the Robb Elementary families and extend our condolences to all who were impacted as well as acknowledge the fact that such tragic events sadden us all.
Such tragedies can surface fears about safety. We know events like these can impact the physical and mental well-being of our students, staff, and families. We encourage you to connect with your friends and family and support each other and seek help as it is needed. We want to assure you that Compton Unified School District is committed to the safety of our schools and well-being of our community.
