The Scratch coding competition allows students in grades 4-8th to demonstrate the computational and 21st Century skills they have acquired through the creation of animations or games.
On December 10, 2019, participating schools will send their top two teams to the district competition where their projects will be judged by individuals from the technology industry. All participants in the district competition will receive a certificate of participation and the top three projects will be given a trophy.
Matches will start at 3:40 pm and 4:40 pm. The first matches are scheduled to start on Tuesday, October 15, and will end on Friday, November 22. The weekly schedule is as follows:
Open Practice - Monday
Centennial High School - Tuesday
Dominguez High School - Wednesday
Compton High School - Thursday
Compton Early College - Friday
