On April 16, 2021, the Compton Unified School District Personnel Commission voted 2-0 to select Ella Carr as the intended appointee to fill the joint District-Union Commissioner seat that is currently vacant. If appointed, Ella Carr will serve in the joint District-Union seat until December 1, 2023.
The Compton Unified School District Personnel Commission will hold a public hearing at 5:30 p.m. during the May 28, 2021, regularly scheduled Personnel Commission meeting to allow the public, employees, employee organizations, and members of the Board of Trustees the opportunity to express their views on the qualifications of Ella Carr. Following the public hearing, the Personnel Commission will vote on whether to appoint Ella Carr to the joint District-Union seat.
