In 2019, Compton USD executed a Community Benefits Agreement with the Los Angeles and Orange County Building and Construction Trades Council for construction projects funded by Measure S. The intent of this Agreement is to identify and retain skilled labor and promote the employment of District residents, encourage the use of small, local businesses, and establish maximum cooperation among all parties involved in the construction project.

Furthermore, the Agreement establishes a goal of 35% of the total hours worked for each contractor to be from local residents. Click here to read and download a copy of the Community Benefits Agreement.
