ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS (GRADES K-7)

  • All Elementary schools will have summer school
  • In-person classes
  • Summer School will be 6 weeks (June 21st-July 30th)
  • Monday-Friday from 8:30-2:00
  • Dual Immersion summer school (Kennedy, Emerson, and Dicksion)
  • 12 students/1 teacher per class
  • Along with ELA and Math, there will be VAPA (art and music), Computer Science, and Enrichment
  • Breakfast and lunch will be provided

TRADITIONAL MIDDLE SCHOOLS (GRADES 6-7)

  • All traditional Middle Schools will participate in summer school
  • In-person classes
  • Grades 6-7
  • Summer School will be 6 weeks (June 21st-July 30th)
  • Monday-Friday from 8:00-2:00
  • Small classes in every classroom
  • ELA and Math intervention
  • Enrichment opportunities that will vary by campus (e.g. VAPA, Robotics, Computer Science, Guest Speakers, Virtual Field Trips)
  • Breakfast and lunch will be provided

SUMMER BRIDGE PROGRAM
(GRADE 8 STUDENTS IN ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOLS)

  • In Person (at the high schools)/Virtual option
  • Summer School will be 6 weeks (June 21st-July 30th)
  • Time Period: 9:00 am - 1:40pm
  • Monday - Thursday (Period 1-2 Math & English)
  • Monday - Friday (Period 3 & all day Friday, Enrichment Opportunities)
  • Enrichment Opportunities examples: UCI and CSUDH School of Engineering, Coding, Game Design, Music, Arts, Gardening, Cooking, Dance and much more!

HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER PROGRAM
(GRADES 9-12 STUDENTS)

  • In-person/Virtual classes (option)
  • Summer School will be 6 weeks (June 21st-July 30th)
  • Two sessions: Session 1 (June 21-July 9), Session 2 (July 12-July 30)
  • Morning class (8:00-11:30), afternoon class (12:00-3:30), and evening Edgenuity classes (Virtual Only). (5:00-6:00)
  • Monday-Friday
  • Small classes
  • Credit recovery opportunities for students to ensure that students meet HS Graduation requirements and College entrance requirements.
  • Enrichment classes for students include: Garage Band, Cooking (in person), Coding Hip-Hop Dance, Athletics, PLTW, Music, Digital Art, Video Game Design, Soft Skills Training, Financial Literacy, Journalism, Program, Media Public Speaking
  • College Courses: Earn college credits while in High School
  • CTE Courses being offered
