The Compton School Police Department, through the Compton School Police Officers Association, is proud to announce our participation in the Pink Patch Project (#PinkPatchProject). The public awareness campaign was designed to bring attention to the fight against breast cancer and to support the various research organizations in combating ALL types of cancers.

The Compton School Police Department, through the Compton School Police Officers Association, is proud to announce our participation in the Pink Patch Project (#PinkPatchProject). The public awareness campaign was designed to bring attention to the fight against breast cancer and to support the various research organizations in combating ALL types of cancers.

In addition to creating awareness, all funds from the sale of the special pink badge and shoulder patches during this campaign will be donated to charity to fund the research, treatment, and education needed to help find a cure.

Members of the Compton School Police Department are wearing the pink patches on their uniforms during the month of October to increase awareness and inspire conversation in the community.

Officers will be wearing the patches at the 6th Annual Compton Walk for a Cure, held at Greenleaf Parkway, on October 14, 2017, from 6am to 11am.

The pink patches are being sold to the public and are intended to inspire conversation with the community and encourage public awareness about the importance of early detection and the on-going fight against this disease.
