(Compton, CA) In a turn of events and a demonstration of sheer resilience and fortitude, the Compton High School girls’ basketball team overcame at 13-point deficit in the first quarter to defeat Palm Desert in the first round of the 4AA Southern Section CIF Championships.

Compton High School is located at 601 S Acacia Avenue in Compton. The school is over 100 years old and boasts a long tradition in the city, including excellence in athletics. Compton High School’s Principal is Dr. Rigoberto Roman and the girl’s basketball team is lead by Coach Derrick Anderson.
