Congratulations to Manuel Casteneda, Music Educator and Director of Centennial High School's famed marching band! Mr. Casteneda and others will be honored at a star-studded virtual Gala hosted by CUSD arts partner, Education Through Music LA (ETM-LA) on Thursday, January 28th at 5pm.

Education Through Music-LA provides quality music education in under-resourced schools as part of the core curriculum for every child in order to nurture students' academic achievement, and their creative and overall development. Despite the pandemic, ETM-LA hasn't missed a beat, continuing programming for over 19,000 students across Los Angeles County through innovative, fun, and engaging distance learning. We partner closely with school districts and schools, including schools in Compton Unified, to further equity and access for students in low-income area communities.
